Our communities simmer with passionate conversations. Yet amid the din, some voices that could add important perspectives and experiences—perhaps many of ours—are not adequately present in community conversations (in the many communities we’re each part of) or in national discourse. This, in turn, limits the range of options under discussion for moving forward.
At this year’s conference, speakers will share stories about how and why they began speaking their truth beyond smaller (safer) circles and moved into public conversations. The day will offer tools and guidance to help us recognize our expertise and speak our truths to broaden the range of perspectives influencing public discourse, priorities, and policy. As always, we will work to create a day of engagement, connection and fun so we can return to our lives and work with new energy and a renewed spirit.

The primary parking garage for the Kansas City Convention Center is the Auditorium Plaza Parking Garage, also known as the Barney Allis Plaza Parking Garage. It is located between 12th and 13th Streets, and between Central and Wyandotte Streets, south of the Marriott Hotel and north of the Municipal Auditorium. Max rate is $12/day. After parking, follow signage for pedestrian tunnel to the Convention Center.
